James A. "Al" Willingham -
Staff Surveyor

Al is the Staff Surveyor for Facilities Planning. He has been with the University of Alabama since 1988. He has Associates Degrees in both Mechanical Drafting and Applied Science and is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor State of Alabama, 1994.

Some of his responsibilities include:

• interpret and applied appropriate technical standards for Civil and Survey projects.
• survey, draft and inspect Civil and Survey projects.
• reducing, interpreting and plotting Survey and Civil Engineering field notes.
• calculating field quantities, locate property boundaries, construction staking.
