Campus Master Plan Update

We are very excited about the progress of the University of Alabama 2006 master planning effort. The process has picked up speed over the past few months and it is our intent to present the final version of the plan to the Board of Trustees at their September 2006 meeting.

Darrell Meyer, the Director of Planning, for the KPS Group of Birmingham is heading the planning effort in conjunction with the University of Alabama’s Planning Department. Darrell has been involved in the process from its inception and took the lead of the team, in the summer of 2005.

This is the first draft of the plan, based on all of the information gathered from the campus community, alumni, on line surveys, City of Tuscaloosa, neighborhood groups and others. As the process proceeds we will continue to seek input from all concerned.
